What an evaluation means

A candidate version is fixed before its official forward test. It must cover at least seven calendar days and five complete market sessions, meet the data and risk requirements, and finish with a positive result after disclosed estimated costs. Another reviewer makes the publication decision.

Creators can improve their work

Test Lab shows decisions, rejected proposals, and paper results. Changes to the strategy create a new version. A new version receives its own evaluation; earlier gains cannot be transferred to it.

Costs and market data

Alpaca IEX quotes cover one exchange, not consolidated US NBBO. Our local simulator uses bid/ask prices and immediate fills with independent checks. Evaluation adds disclosed estimates for model, data, and transaction costs. These are assumptions, not provider invoices or a guarantee of real execution.

Publication is monitored

Suspended and under-review versions stop accepting new allocations. A safety suspension prevents new executions. Neither action automatically sells positions.

Waiting for market open

The session exists and waits for regular US market hours.

Extended for coverage

Required observations are missing. The fixed extension rule applies.

Needs improvement

The complete evaluation did not meet its published criteria.
